The school online application process will open on the 20th of May and close on the 24th of May 2024. Take note of these dates.
On the 15th of June 2024, there will be a placement test and submission of Application Fee Receipt(R100). Please read the application guidelines here.

The Geography teacher at Sibusisiwe Comp Tech High School received the Excellence in Secondary School Teaching award at the 23rd National Teaching Awards held in Pretoria on World Teachers' Day. Usiphatheleni Khanyile, aged 34, who instructs students in Grades 10 to 12, expressed his surprise at winning the national award, given the reputation of provinces like the Western Cape and Gauteng for producing outstanding educators.
Usiphatheleni Khanyile explained the steps he took to secure the award, starting by competing against other teachers in the uMlazi District and emerging as the winner. He then progressed to triumph in the group of coastal districts, subsequently winning the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) title, ultimately representing the province at the national awards ceremony.

Three students hailing from Sibusisiwe Comp Tech-High School in Umbumbulu, located just outside of Pietermaritzburg, have secured the prestigious Step Up 2 A Green Start Up National Youth Entrepreneurship award.
Their victorious business proposal centered around the production of environmentally-friendly coal derived from Marula nuts. Recognizing the environmental concerns associated with conventional coal as an energy source, they decided to create a more eco-conscious alternative.
Zanele Khwela, a member of the award-winning team, expressed her belief that the judges were impressed by their idea due to its potential to supplant the conventional coal industry and its positive impact on the community in various ways.
